Lonsdale Park on the Yarra

Luxury self-contained accommodation in the heart of the Yarra Valley

Set on 70 acres of rolling meadows, Lonsdale Park offers a luxurious accommodation experience in the heart of the picturesque Yarra Valley. With expansive views over the gardens, fields and the bordering Yarra River, guests are invited to relax, swim and indulge in exquisite natural beauty.

It was featured on Channel 9's 'Postcards - Great Escapes' episode. The surrounding 2 acre garden has been likened to a 'mini botanical park' by previous guests.

The meticulously decorated and architecturally designed bedrooms, living area and kitchen present open and light-filled spaces for guests to enjoy. Floor-to-ceiling windows in every room allow a tranquil immersion into the magnificent surrounding gardens.

Lonsdale Park on the Yarra is an ideal place for many different groups to gather and enjoy some time together. Families, friends, wedding parties, work colleagues and more are invited to make themselves at home in this secluded, self-contained accommodation.

The garden was nominated to be a part of the Australian Open Garden Scheme in November 2014. Meandering pathways reach light, open spaces and cool shaded alcoves where light filters through an abundance of native and European flowers, bushes and trees. The flora changes its colour and form all year round; there is always something different to enjoy, even in the wintertime.

Kate Baker Photographs

An Australian fine art photographer, I work primarily with black and white film. What interests me is the way photography can reach into the depths of the 'soul' of something, allowing a pathway to connection to that which is both within us and greater than us.
