Warburton to Mt Donna Buang Mountain Summit Walk

The best vertical kilometre (1100m) training walk within 1.5 hrs drive of Melbourne. Walk from Warburton township to the summit of Mt Donna Buang. Excellent long distance of 12km. Excellent training walk for The Alps of Europe or NZ, Himalaya, Kokoda Trail, Pyrenees etc. and great alternative to the 1000 Steps walk. Passes through Mountain Ash, Myrtle Beach and Snowgum forests with Lyrebirds and Sambar dear. Average slope 19% or 1in 5.
